We did an overnight mini bicycle tour with Darren Alff, The Bicycle Touring Pro, and a group of 14 others. Darren calls this, his ‘Bikes and Burritos’ tour. The group started the ride in Camarillo, California and made its way through the farmland and down the coast to Malibu. Along the way we stopped at Cal State Channel Islands for a break and photo opportunity. We then finished the ride along the coast at Sycamore Canyon State Beach. The group enjoyed a beautiful sunset at the beach and returned to camp for a burrito dinner around the campfire. The night was very cold, even with our 15 degree down sleeping bags. The next morning, after a delicious breakfast, we rode back to Camarillo to complete the tour. We were happy that our friends Joe and Margaret were able to join us. It was a perfect late December overnight bicycle trip. Until next time…
