On the last segment of the trip we took some time for additional sightseeing. This included the Dixie Caverns, the Stonewall Jackson grave site in Lexington, and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello in Charlottesville, VA. Now that we have finished our tour, we reflect on the beauty of each and every state we have ridden through. We want to thank everyone for the many emails of support. They were a joy to read. We have met many interesting people and made new friends along the way. Thank you Sam and Gay for the great company and for sharing the TransAm adventure. Also thank you to David and his wife for the evening tour of Richmond and the advice on how to navigate out of town. Our bicycles and gear performed flawlessly. We only had four flats. Not too bad! We were healthy the entire trip and only came away with a few dozen mosquito bites. We learned that we are faster than at least 75 dogs in Missouri, Illinois, and Kentucky. We have many stories to share when we return home. We'll see you soon. Cheers.
