We continue to meet lots of cyclist touring all over the country on so many different routes. We were happy to enter Colorado, our 5th state. Steady climbing brought us to the trendy ski resort town of Breckenridge. After a nice night at the Bivouac, a bunk bed style hostel for hikers and cyclists, we started the ten mile climb to the top of Hoosier Pass (at 11,539 feet, the highest point on the route). Spectacular views all around and a fun descent. It is very hard to describe our night in Guffy, CO. For $15 per person we stayed in an 1880's gold assayer's office. No bathroom, water, electricity, but lots of character. A memorable night that we wouldn't trade! Until next time.....
